Larry has been operating CPC since 1992, after receiving his B. A. in Journalism from Michigan State University. While at MSU, Larry served on the MSU student radio station WLFT-AM, and wrote for the Mott Community College Post before attending MSU
Larry discovered graphic design pretty much by accident, but was exposed to it while a student at MSU, due to his editing classes and his exposure to desktop publishing through the old Users Computer PC Organization (UPCO), in Lansing. He has a Bachelor In Fine Arts-Visual Communications, with honors, from the University of Michigan-Flint.
Larry has won a 2008 Student Silver ADDY Award for the VSA Michigan-Genesee County web site, and has won awards in student art shows. He has also been a staff writer for the Michigan Times student newspaper while at UM-Flint. He has also served as a community contributor for magazines in the Frankenmuth / Birch Run area, Flushing, Fenton, Swartz Creek and Lapeer.
Larry grew up in Flushing, Michigan, and is an avid racewalker, Montreal Canadiens hockey fan who once played some, music lover, and someone who has dabbled in digital fine artwork. He has had some of that work on display in local art galleries. He also loves trains of all kinds, both model trains and real trains! He also loves model radio control airplanes. He has recently become a big fan of Marshall University Athletics, Huntington, West Virginia.
He considers his chief inspiration to be hockey legend Maurice “Rocket” Richard.
