As you can see, I have revived my interest in model trains.

I am hoping to put together a small layout that I can put in the basement, and while I'm waiting to do that, I will run my trains on the Durand Union Station layout in the gift shop.

However, if you really want to see an excellent model train layout, come to Durand Union Station on Saturday afternoons and view the layout run by the Durand Union Station Model Railroad Engineers. It is very large, and has a replica of the Durand Union Station, and the Durand Roundhouse, as well as some other local things, all in HO scale.

It is really a beautiful layout, and I hope the one I'm building will be nice, too. I am looking to design a northern Michigan theme, and pay homage to Michigan railroading.

Here are some photos of my model train I'm building at home.
This is a work in progress. so check back often.
